Stephenson's Rocket...

Stephenson's Rocket In 1829 George Stephenson of Wylam designed the Rocket Locomotive, which was then built in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne! It's actually the most famous example of a steam engine. I think that's incredible, what a monumental design that was built here in our very own North-East!  The actual design was this beautiful striking yellow and that is what inspired us with this colour. An audacious colour that will add depth and attitude to any colour scheme!  What a beautiful colour to have in a room! Go bold and buy quality; cos if you buy cheap you paint twice.

Longsands...

Longsands Moving on from coastal/ nautical themes, lets talk about the inspiration behind our colour 'Longsands'... a beach.  But seriously, Tynemouth Longsands is one of the most painted and photographed beaches in the country; a Blue Flag award winning beach that has always been popular across the years for both residents and tourists. Even my Welsh relatives know about Tynemouth Longsands!!  This colour reflects the warm sand-earth colour on a summers day that creates a cosy sanctuary giving warmth to a room.  A touch of warmth is exactly what we need in this weather! So buy quality; cos if you...

Tide of Life...

Tide of Life  The calming and delicate blue colour similar to the crashing waves at Tyne-mouth, or the streams of water cascading down Consett right now in this ridiculous weather!!!  This colour was actually not inspired by the freak weather we experience in the North but actually by Dame Catherine Cookson; one of the Uk's most widely read novelists. Born in 1906, this inspirational woman of her time wrote over 100 books that sold over 123 million copies! Move over Jane Austin!  This colour is beautiful and delicate; pairing well with an off white for a nautical/ coastal vibe. My...

Durham Dales...

Durham Dales  Unless you're blind I can imagine you've seen the Durham Dales; a large area ( a third of the county) consisting of the Durham portion of the North Pennines. I love the Pennines, I have a little Mini Cooper and in sport mode through all those twists and turns is just an amazing thrill!  This colour truly reflects the dark green horizon that you see looking across on a summers day. An opulent green that would look fantastic as a wall colour paired with golds; looking almost stately! Or even as a bright front door!  Can you imagine? ...

Monkeys Blood...

Monkey's Blood No this is not us murdering monkeys just for your living room wall! This colour was inspired by the raspberry topping you have on your 99! You have to have this on or else it just isn't a 99, and if you don't have any on your 99 then you should feel ashamed! As ashamed as ice cream vendors should be for selling a classic 99 for £2.50!  This colour is fun! just like this monkey!  I feel like we all needed that on this Monday morning don't you? This raspberry Red works amazingly well as a feature...
